Margie Larue Romanat age 92 of Collinsville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, with her family by her side.
She was born on March 14, 1931, to late parents Virgil and Myrtle nee Nelson Fox in Cotter, Arkansas.
Margie was a long-time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Illinois.
She loved being a homemaker while raising her four girls. Margie also enjoyed her jobs working as a Sales Clerk at Dillard's in Downtown St. Louis and at Famous Barr in Fairview Heights. She enjoyed good food at her favorite restaurants, traveling, bowling, bingo, and reading. But what Margie loved most of all was spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald P. Romanat, grandson Bradley A. Boss, three brothers, Walker Fox, Robert Fox, and Seth Fox; Sister, Sally Garner, and half-sister Louise Fox.
Left to carry on her memory are daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Fiudo, of Collinsville, Sandy (Chris) Jukes of Collinsville, Susan Boss (Geoff) of Troy, and Shelly (Chris) Hendricks of Collinsville. Seven grandchildren, Erin Senn, Scott Schmacker, Jr., Dennis Fiudo, Jr., Nicole Schmacker, Bailey Boss, Emily Hendricks, and Anna Hendricks.
Private services will be held at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Illinois on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, A burial will take place at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
Memorials may be made in Margie's honor to The Alzheimer's Association, National Breast Cancer Foundation, and The American Cancer Society for Lung Cancer.
