Marie Ilene Trowbridge, 74, of Fairmont City, Illinois, passed away on July 4, 2021, at her home.

Marie was born January 29, 1947, to  John and Kathleen Russell in East St. Louis, Illinois.

During her career, she worked for Townhouse Furniture in the office and she also previously worked for Kruta's Bakery.  She enjoyed working at the bakery because her love of sweets and baking.  She also enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo at the Fireman's Hall in Collinsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Trowbridge; and brothers: Howard Russell and Robert Russell.

Survivors include her daughters:  Tammy (Kirk) Hager of Fairmont City, Illinois, and Theresa (Bob) Tackett of Leavenworth, Kansas; sister, Sandy Russell of Lincoln, Illinois; grandchildren:  Shannon Granger, Justin (Jessica) Hager, and Sara (David) McFarland; great-grandchildren:  Zackary Kurtis Granger, Jaiden Michael Granger, Mia Rose Hager, Alyssa Grace McFarland, Brady Quinn Hager, and Jaxson Kash Rivera.

A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Herr Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 501 W. Main Street, Collinsville, Illinois. Cremation has been accorded by Herr Funeral Home.
