Marie Margaret Wessels, 67, of Caseyville, Ill., born September 2, 1948, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away on Thursday October 29, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Marie retired as a legal secretary from Sandberg, Phoenix and Von Gontard in St. Louis, Mo. She enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening and looking for antiques. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Wiedner; and her mother, Margaret, nee Alexander, Wiedner.

Surviving are her husband, Terry Wessels, whom she married on Sept. 6, 1969; daughters, Kristy (David) Merz of Collinsville, Ill., Amy (Jay) Geissler of Shiloh, Ill., and Erin Wessels of Fairview Heights, Ill.; brothers, Chris (Debb) Wiedner of O'Fallon, Ill., and Randy Wiedner of Connecticut; and two grandchildren, Quinn Wessels and Desiree Merz.
