Marilyn Kay Gaither, nee Thorn, 67, of New Athens, Ill., born Oct. 31, 1946, in East Liverpool, Ohio, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and June, nee Samberson, Thorn.

Surviving are two daughters, Jerri Rebecca Gaither of Edwardsville, Ill., Wanda Kay Gaither of Cypress, Calif.; four sisters, Evelyn Land of Cypress, Calif., Carolee Merrifield of St. Charles, Mo., JoAnn Erfourth of Boyne City, Mich., Lisa Merrifield of San Pedro, Calif.; a brother, John Donnelly of Long Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pindable of Edwardsville, Ill., Madison Pindable of Edwardsville, Ill., Jonathan Fargo of Redding, Calif., and Jamie Moore of Crescent City, Calif.; and her former husband, Cecil Gaither.
