Obituary

Marion Eileen, nee Macbeth, Field, 85, formerly of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri.  She was born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 26, 1932, the daughter of the late John Douglas and Jessica, nee Errey, Macbeth. Marion married Robert E. Field Sr. on October 20, 1984 in Fairview Heights, IL. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2007. Marion also married Art Jack Wood on February 20, 1960. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1970.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jackie Wood of Collinsville, IL and son Craig Wood of Columbia, IL, and two brothers, Iain Macbeth of Glasgow, Scotland and Nigel Macbeth of Cape Town, South Africa.

Surviving is her son, Stephen (Caren) Wood St. Louis, MO and three grandchildren Alexander, Curtis and Casey; daughter-in-law, Cheri Wood; and sister-in-law, Yvonne Macbeth.

Marion worked as a seamstress at Carolyn's Sewing Shop in Troy, Illinois and as a teller at Bank of Belleville, IL. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.  Condolences may be expressed through this online guestbook.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2:00 P.M.- 4:00 P.M. at the Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Illinois, with a memorial service at 4:00 P.M. Cremation rites have been accorded, per Marion's wishes. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
