Mark Anthony Kennedy, 63, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on April 21, 2021, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.

Mark was born June 13, 1957, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to James and Madonna (Tojo) Kennedy.

Mark was a life long resident of Collinsville, Illinois. He graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri. He worked at various jobs throughout his life.  He served in the food service industry and was the manager for a Laundromat.  He was a member and a Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus, Collinsville, Illinois, in previous years.  He was a member and Lector for SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Illinois. Above all, he was a devoted brother and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Madonna Kennedy.

Survivors include his brothers: James (Linda) Kennedy of Lebanon, Missouri, Joseph (Cindy) Kennedy of Virginia, John (Cindy) Kennedy of Winona, Minnesota; Jerome (Orlene) Kennedy of San Diego, California, Robert (Rita) Kennedy of Owensboro, Kentucky, Richard (Pam) Kennedy of Farmington, Missouri, and Larry (Jana) Kennedy of Maryland; sisters:  Sister Mary Kennedy, SSND, Ann Kennedy of Columbia, Missouri, and Lori (Dave) Bohnenstiehl of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; aunt and uncle, Shirley and Vince Demange; as well as many numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Illinois, with Father John Beveridge officiating.   Arrangements by Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Illinois.

A social gathering and tribute will follow services at 12:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Collinsville, Illinois.
