Marvin W. "Bird" Braundmeier Sr., 83, of Edwardsville, Ill., born June 21, 1931, in Alhambra, Ill., passed away Monday, April 27, 2015.
Marvin retired from Richard Brick Yard with 42 years of service. He had also served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the Edwardsville VFW, American Legion No. 1299, Moose Lodge No. 1561 and Eden United Church of Christ.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lena, nee Oberdalhoff, Braundmeier; and a brother, Edgar Braundmeier.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Betty, nee Walker, Braundmeier; a daughter, Kay (Larry) Gueldener of Moro, Ill.; two sons, Marvin Jr. (Vicki) Braundmeier of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Dennis (Laurie) Braundmeier of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Germaine Sever; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
