Mary Jo Anderson

Mary Jo Anderson passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2017. She was born in Edwardsville, Ill., in 1925, daughter of the late Agnes, nee Trikar, Kellermann and Joseph F. Kellermann.

She married Elton E. Meyer August 9, 1946, and was preceded in death by Elton in 1997. She then married Charles K. Anderson May 28, 1998, and has preceded her. Mary Jo is also preceded in death by her son, Joseph E. Meyer and sister, Lorine Berlemann.

Surviving are her son, Ned Meyer and wife Dorothy; daughter, Kari Barton and husband Fred; daughter-in-law, Betsy Meyer; stepsons, Terry Anderson and wife Linda, John Anderson and wife Mary Helen and Charles Anderson and wife Janice; 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Mary Jo was a devoted mother, member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and member and volunteer at the Madison County Historical Society. She worked for many years at the Madison County Treasurers office in Edwardsville, Ill.

Visitation: Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 20th, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services for Mary Jo will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 20th, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, with Father Dan Bergbower officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.
