Mary Jane (Griffin) Eads, 84, of Edwardsville, Ill., died at 3:51 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

She was born Thursday, Nov. 25, 1926 in Seward, Kan., the daughter of the late Luther and Gata (Williams) Griffin.

She married James E. Eads on Aug. 21, 1954. He survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, David (Donna) Eads of St. Albans, Mo.; two daughters, Cynthia Graham of Portage, Ind., and Karen (James) Herget of Winchester, Tenn.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Alva Griffin, Illene Nash, Ivan Griffin and Melba Bracomontis.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, Ill., 62034.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Mueller officiating.

Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
