Mary Louise Foster, nee Grissom, 82, of Collinsville, Ill., born Dec. 17, 1930, in Dupo, Ill., went home to join her husband, Hadley; and her parents an sisters on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013.

Mary had a dream, the dream was to become a register nurse. She pursued it and her dream was fulfilled. She graduated from nursing school at the top of her class. Mary retired in 1984 from Anderson Hospital as a registered nurse of 28 years in the medical field. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of O'Fallon, Ill. She was married to her husband Hadley for 60 years and they met on a blind date at SIUC. Mary loved to golf, was in three leagues, shot a hole-in-one at Yorktown Golf Course, using a 7-iron. She enjoyed her weekly Card Club with her girlfriends every Tuesday. Mary and her husband loved traveling. They traveled to Europe and the Orient and took numerous cruises with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hadley Foster; her sisters, Vera Stuckey and Marjorie Bostian her parents, Lewis and Edith, nee Collins, Grissom.

Surviving are her daughters, Vicki (Roger) Cocker of Collinsville, Ill., and Sheri (Bill) Broyles of Maryville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Aaron (Angie) Broyles of O'Fallon, Ill., Amy (Joshua) Heater of St. Louis, Mo., Justin (MacKenzie) Broyles of Collinsville, Ill., Ryan (Caitlin) Cocker of Troy, Ill., and Alexander Hadley Broyles of Maryville, Ill.; 12 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Will, Peyton and Brooke Broyles, Sophia, Jack and Jesse Heater and Taylor and Justin Cash Broyles and Elijah, Lola and Ezra Cocker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at the funeral home with Dr. Doug Munton and Pastor Skip Leininger officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
