Mary Lauretta Kroder, nee Giedeman, 65, of Collinsville, Ill., born June 2, 1948, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Mary received a bachelor of elementary education from SIU-E and spent 34 years with the parochial school and was currently a substitute for Collinsville Unit 10. She attended St. Stephens Catholic Church in Caseyville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Antoinette, nee Puglisi, Giedeman.
Surviving are her husband, George Kroder of Collinsville, Ill., whom she married on Aug. 7, 1982; two sons, Robert Barcum of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mark (Jenny) Kroder of Swansea, Ill.; a sister, Ruthann (William Sanders) Giedeman of St. Louis, Mo.; and five grandchildren who were the light of her life, Kayla, Dylan, Savannah, Isabella and Shaighly Kroder.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the funeral home with Father James Long officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Ill.
