Mary Jo Greytak
Mary Jo Greytak, 63, of Edwardsville, IL., born October 13, 1954, in Bloomington, IL., passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, in Edwardsville, IL.
Mary was very dedicated in taking care of her family; she was fiercely loyal to her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered fondly for being very creative, and having strong faith. Some of her interest included reading, writing, painting, playing with her dog Grizzley and traveling extensively over the world. Her favorite destination was Paris, France. But enjoyed all her travels through Western Europe and Central America and even met her husband William Greytak on a trip to Rome, Italy. Mary Jo was very caring and generous and always gave to those who needed help. She was a member of Metro Community Church, Edwardsville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband William Greytak, who sadly passed away in 2010; her brother Mark Widmer; her maternal grandparents, Martin and Lora Stegall; her paternal grandparents, Donat and Lilly Widmer.
Surviving are her loving children, Joshua (Rebecca) Richie Sr. of Edwardsville, IL., Billy (Amanda) Greytak of Edwardsville, IL., Alisa (Dan) Greytak-Kelley of Chesterfield, MO., Stephanie (Bobby Heinemann) Greytak of St. Louis, MO.; her mother Delores Keaton of Columbia, IL; her father Merle (Claire) Widmer of Peoria, IL.; her sister Nancy (Brad) Cripe of Columbia, IL.; her grandchildren, Paige Greytak, Alexander Richie, Nicholas Richie, Emilee Richie, Max Cooper, Joshua Richie Jr., Lora Richie, Ryan Richie, Lucy Kelley, Olivia Kelley; her close friend Bill Summers; her brother in law Rick Greytak; her nephew Terry Cripe.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL.
Funeral: Memorial service for Mary Jo will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Steffaniak officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
