Mary Louise Schaefer, nee Kullenberg of Grandview, Texas, born in St. Louis, Mo., on Dec. 16, 1925, to the late Katie and Carl Kullenberg, went to be with our Lord on Friday, July 26, 2013.

She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caseyville, Ill., where she served as a Eucharistic minister of the Sick and Agege and was a member of the St. Anne's Altar Society. She was also a member of the Mended Hearts, Chapter 226, the Ursuline Sisters Auxiliary & Friends, and the Belleville Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. Mrs. Schaefer retired from Collinsville Unit 10 School District Cafeteria Workers after 18 years of service and was a member of their Union Local No. 316.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis Schaefer Sr., she is survived by her three children; son, Robert L. Schaefer Jr., and his wife, Linda of Fairview Heights, Ill., son, James D. Schaefer and his wife, Ruby of Grandview, Texas and daughter, Kathy L., nee Schaefer, Pocuca and her husband, George of O'Fallon, Ill.; 13 grandchildren,. Erich Schaefer and wife, Lori, Christa Schaefer, Theresa Sandheinrich, Kimberly (Jason) Stambaugh, Douglas Humphries and his wife, Carmin, Natalie Schaefer and Tim Edwards, Kristopher Schaefer, Krystal Schaefer and Josh Tucker Davis, Kathryn Lawson and husband, Jimmy, Kandice Birchfield and husband, Kevin, Felicity Schaefer, Christy Pocuca and Amanda Pocuca; and 10 great-grandchildren, Zachary Schaefer, Curtis Schaefer, Alix Sandheinrich, Payton Sandheinrich, Jo Sandheinrich, Kacie Schaefer, Dominic Stambaug, Maggie Stambaugh, Andrew Stambaugh, Ryan Humphries, Jarred Humphries, Felicity Schaefer and Rusty Gaston.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Herr Funeral Home, 300 West Lincoln Ave., Caseyville, Ill.

Funeral: Service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 901 South Main St., Caseyville, Ill.
