Mary Veronica Menges

Mary Menges, 79, of Collinsville, Ill., born April 30, 1937, in Danvers, Mass., passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016, in Collinsville, Ill.

Mary was a registered nurse serving in the US Army, after her service to her country; Mary continued working as a nurse at Boston General Hospital, St Elizabeth''s Hospital, Anderson Hospital and St Anthony''s Hospital. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill., and the Legion of Mary and St Vincent DePaul.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Frederick Menges, whom she married on June 6th, 1964,; parents, John and Alice, nee Buckley, Caskin,;
brothers and sisters, Dan Caskin, Fr. John Caskin, Theresa Plumb, Anne Caskin, Cecilia Adkins; son in law, Allen Benedick.

She is survived by her children, John A. Menges of Carterville Ill., Mark A. Menges of Belleville Ill, Deborah M Menges of Troy Ill., Thomas P (Bridget) Menges of Edwardsville Ill., Patricia A Menges - Benedick of Collinsville Ill.; 12 grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Brittany, Terra, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Gabriel, Joshua, Victoria, Shayne, Mantha, Hannah.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill., and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Father John Beveridge officiating. Burial to follow at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
