Obituary

Mary Henrietta Niebling, 99 of Edwardsville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, 10:12 p.m. at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Born April 16, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri and was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Katherine (nee-Hostettler) Moss.

She married Robert C. Niebling, Sr., February 14, 1950, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death. After their marriage the couple resided in the Cherokee Street area of South St. Louis for many years, where she was employed at Woolworth's and Kresge's and later moved to Edwardsville, in 1955.

Mary enjoyed nature, watching and feeding birds, her flower gardens, and above all, she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was affectionately known to her loved ones by Mama, Gma, Grannie, and Gert.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by; her children; Robert C. Niebling, Jr. (Linda) of Edwardsville, Illinois Cathy R. Winters (Phillip) of Maryville, Illinois Malyn McCann of Edwardsville, Illinois David J. Niebling of Edwardsville, Illinois Anna L. Carrow (Greg) of Ramsey, Minnesota. Her grandchildren; Nathan Niebling (Courtney), Justin Niebling, Christian Niebling (Holly), Benjamin Niebling (Amanda), Mary Katherine Webb (Phil)Phillip Winters, II (Dawn), Timothy Winters (Jennifer), Kori Handshy (Chris), Marx Winters, Honey Westby (Dan), Leslie Winters (Lindsey), Barbra Quade, Justin Towell (Kristin), Kelli Towell, David Screnock (Kristi), Rebecca M. Bigelow (Hunter), Ryan Screnock, Aaron Niebling (Michelle), Matthew Baird (Nancy), Meredith Baird McLain (Jeff), Mitchell Baird (Jessica), and Megan Carrow, her great-grandchildren; Tanner Niebling, Autumn Niebling Cheyenne Niebling, Jack Kohlmeier, Lucas Niebling, Lilia Niebling, Ian Webb, Lura Webb, Jesse Petty, Philklip Winters, III., Issac Winters, Joseph Winters, Lily Winters, Noah Winters, Nathaniel Winters, Charlie Winters, Clayton Handsy, Annabelle Handshy, Olivia Handshy, Walter Westby, Maddie Westhy, Jude Westby, Hallie Winters, Elyse Winters, Avari Winters, Elena Winters, Emmett Winters, Mayla Winters, Briley Towell, Trinity Baty, Alexis Screnock, Braydn Screnock, Eliana Screnock, Levi Screnock, Darik Niebling, Aiden Niebling, Orrin Baird, Lee Baird, Shannon Baird, Morgan Baird, Judah McLain, Vivian Carrow. A brother; Charles Moss of St. Louis, Missouri. Two sons-in-law; Arthur Jackson of Glen Carbon, Illinois and John Towell of Clarksville, Tennessee, other extended family and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by: Two daughters; Barbara M. Towell and Pristiene E. Jackson, a sister; Charlotte Phillips, and by a granddaughter; Leah N. Baird.

Visitation will beheld on Saturday, July 2, 2022, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, Illinois, where services honoring and celebrating Mary's life will be on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
