Mary Isabel Ninness, 97, of Maryland Heights, Missouri, passed away on November 7, 2021, at her home.

Mary was born April 30, 1924, to Wesley and Louella (Brown) Carrell in Maunie, Illinois. She married Chauncey Louis Ninness Jr. on November 6, 1948.

She was a charter member of Sterling Baptist Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois.  She was the "best crotchetier", loved to read, and enjoyed watching scary movies.  Her addiction was the Home Shopping Network.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband Chauncey Ninness; daughter, Pamela Sue Ninness; brothers: Bill Carrell, Wesley Carrell, Delmar Carrell; sisters: Freida Baert and Melva Layton.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Spann of Collinsville, Illinois; sister, Patricia (Chuck) Morris of Maryland Heights, Missouri; grandchildren:  Christopher (Stephanie) Spann of Collinsville, Illinois, Barbi Allen from Ashley, Illinois, and Brett (Maggie) Newton of O'Fallon, Illinois; great-grandchildren: Cody Allen, Kaitlyn Allen, Makenzie Allen, Dani Spann, Morgan Newton, and Gavin Newton; great-great grandchild, Neal Allen; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Herr Funeral Home, 501 W. Main Street, Collinsville, Illinois. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Gray officiating.  Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
