Mary Palermo, age 95 of Rockwall, TX, passed away June 16, 2017. She was born December 16, 1921, in St. Louis, MO, to Rev. Joseph Militello and Paola (Zamitto) Militello. She previously lived in Collinsville, IL, before moving to Rockwall in 1989. Mrs. Palermo was a member of Lakeshore Church and faithfully attended Sunday school class there. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, reading her Bible and the tradition of having spaghetti and meatballs every Sunday after church.

She is survived by her sons: Jim Palermo and wife Diane and Rev. Gary Palermo and wife Rodine; four grandchildren: Lisa Palermo, Lauri Lea and husband Rev. John Lea, Jonathan Palermo and wife Misty and Christopher Palermo; five great grandchildren: Abigail Lea, Averi Lea, Aiden Lea, Maci Burnett and Max Burnett; and many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Mrs. Palermo was preceded in death by her husband: Albert Palermo, in 1987; and siblings: Leo Militello, Santo Militello, Dr. G. W. Militello and Ann Tabone.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Rev. John Lea officiating.
