Mary Lela Pratt, 83, of Maryville, Illinois, passed away on February 3, 2025.

Mary was born December 26, 1941.

She started working at SIU-Edwardsville October 1979 and retired in January 2003 as the Head "singing" Baker.

Mary was loved by many who worked with her over her 24 years of service.

She was a lifetime member of the Collinsville VFW Post 5691.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Earl Pratt Sr. and Ophelia (nee Christian) Pratt, brothers; Earl Jr., Edgar, Norman and Paul Pratt, sisters; Linda (nee Pratt) Culver and Doris Bourland.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Karen Pratt of Indianapolis, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mary will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, February 15, 2025 from the chapel of Herr Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 11am until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Mary to Maryville Fire Department or the American Diabetes Association.
