Mary E. Sizemore, nee Young 80, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on May 9, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mary enjoyed spending her days with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her family was her life and she created wonderful memories with them.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting cooking and gardening.  She also enjoyed spending time in her Bible.

She loved the Lord and shared her faith with her family, friends and those around her.  She made everyone she met feel like they were part of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Beulah Young and her grandson, Daniel Dovers.

Surviving is her loving husband, John Sizemore, who she married on February 28, 1961; three daughters, Angela (Rodney) Malawy of Maryville, IL, Jennifer (Mark) Churchwell of Maryville, IL and Tina (Jim) Dovers of Knoxville, TN; two brothers, Clark (Yvonne) Young of Marissa, IL, Ronald (Linda) Young, TN; one sister, Sherry (Steve) Fluck of New Athens, Il; six grandchildren, Meghan (Matt) Dittman, Natalie (Dustin) Simmons, Alisa (Stephen) Moyer, Kyle Dovers, Jonathan Dovers and Derek (Aurora) Churchwell; great grandchildren, Grayson, Avery and Nash Dittman; Ridge Simmons; Norah, Joshua, Micah and Caleb Moyer and Ada Churchwell.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 12. 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, Illinois.  Funeral service will be on Friday, May 13, 2022 starting at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Rob Schnieder officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
