Obituary

Carmelita Stolze, age 87, beloved wife of the late Alvin K. Stolze, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, died June 21, 2014.

Carmelita was born July 16, 1926 in Jacksonville, Ill. to Patrick and Mary Frazier.

She and Alvin were married on November 27, 1948 by Father Edward Douglas at St. Bernard''s Church, now Queen of Angels. Alvin passed away September, 1999.

Camelita was a 1944 graduate of Marquette Catholic High School. She was previously a member of St. Kevin''s Parish for 40 years. She worked with many of the school children, a volunteer librarian for 35 years, as well as many activities in the parish. A past Vice Regent of the Daughters of Isabella, member of the Ursuline Auxiluary, secretary of the Rotary Anns and sponsor of the National Children''s Cancer Society.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin and Marsha Stolze of of Mesa, Ariz., Patrick and Joanne Stolze of Chandler, Ariz., Michael and Beverly Stolze of Smithton, Ill., and Mark and Carol Stolze of Glen Carbon, Ill.; one daughter and son-in-law, Paul and Lisa Hemings of Edwardsville, Ill.; twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Ann Frazier of Florissant, Mo., and a sister-in-law, Virginia Frazier of San Jose, Cal.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and a brother, John R. Frazier of Santa Clara, Cal.

God saw that Mom was getting tired and a cure was not to be. He put his arms around her and whispered "Come with Me". Although we loved Mom dearly we could not make her stay. God called Mom to His heavenly home to be with Him today.

Memorial donations may be made to National Children''s Cancer Society, Ursuline Convent, or Father Delix Michel''s Haitian School and will be accepted at the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, Ill. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill. Arrangements through Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.
