Matt was a family man, who loved his boys and wife more than anything. He was such a proud father of two fine young men and loved watching their games, whether it was soccer, football or hockey. He would even watch online if he couldn''t make the games in person. He was a great provider, a hard worker, a true friend, a coach and mentor, as well as a loving son and brother. He would always work hard to do his best to help anyone when situations arise. It was important for him to instill these same things in his boys. He did a great job of setting an example for them.
He was District Sales Manager for United Rentals. He really enjoyed his job and was so appreciative for the support and encouragement from his work family. His friends can attest to his uniquely great sense of humor and boisterous laugh. He would see things as cartoons in his head and would describe the funniest things you''ve ever heard.
He loved spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, boating, camping or just chilling by a nice fire. He was a fantastic cook who could whip up a great meal. Matt was one of the strongest men around, fighting his battle with cancer with such great determination to support and provide for his family. He is such an inspiration to us all. We were all so very lucky to know Matt and have him in our lives. His body and mind can now be at rest and peace. We know that he will forever be with us, in our hearts.
