Maximo Antonio Taveras Zorrilla

July 28 ^, 1981 ~ May 27, 2022 (age 40)

Maximo Taveras Zorrilla, of Dominican Republic was a caring husband, father figure (step-father), son, son-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin, nephew and friend. He left this world suddenly in our home May 27, 2022 at the age of 40.

He was born to Adalgisa and Ramon on July 28, 1981.  Max is survived by his beautiful wife, Ellie; daughter, Elvie; his parents; and many aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.

Max excelled in his education from his early years to adulthood. Though he had struggles throughout his life he seemed to look forward and challenge himself.  He joined the United States Navy where he became an outstanding Aviation Electrician's Mate.  While serving, he met his future wife and step-child.

His loving heart was felt by many.  Making people laugh, cooking and playing video games were his simple pleasures.  His charming, witty, understanding personality will surely be missed.  Resting in heaven is where you lay until we meet again Maximo, my forever love.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Herr Funeral Home, 501 West Main Street, Collinsville, IL.  Cremation will follow.
