Maxine Leach, nee Ward, 91, of O'Fallon, Ill., born Wednesday, December 5, 1923, in Silva, Mo., died Monday, May 18, 2015, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Maxine was a 60 year member of Bethel Baptist Church. She worked for over 25 years at the Community Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Leach, whom she married June 6, 1942; and her parents, Leonard and Grace, nee Carlton, Ward.

Surviving are two sons, Leon (Terry) Leach of Savannah, Ga., and Larry (Belinda) Leach of Henderson, N.C.; a daughter, Cheryl (Dan) Yelch of Elizabeth, Ind.; a brother, Richard Ward; five sisters, Phoebe Crader, Catherine Hildebrand, Betty Tucker, Carolyn Shell, and Sibyl Nanney; seven grandchildren, Laura Frost, Floyd Leach, Elizabeth Cator, Geoffrey Leach, Kathryn Bradley, Matthew Yelch, and Sarah Yelch; four step-grandchildren, Tom Snyder, Joann Carroll, Caitlyn Naylor, and Paige Byrd; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the church, with Rev. Mike Evans officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Caseyville, Ill.
