Michael C. Baker Jr., 52, of Mexico, Missouri, passed away on October 8, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Michael was born May 16, 1969, to Michael C. Baker Sr. and Junie M. (McClanahand) Baker in Granite City, Illinois.  He worked as a roofer for many years at RT Hodges in Mexico, Missouri.

Above all, Michael was a family man and very dedicated. He was a hard worker, an avid fan of music and enjoyed barbequing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.

Survivors include his sons: Anthony Peery, Braden Peery, Domonick Baker and Michael C. Baker III, all of Mexico, Missouri; brother Randy (Laura) Baker of Granite City, Illinois; and sister, Melanie Ellington of St. Charles, Missouri.

Cremation has been accorded by Herr Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  A celebration of life will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 4225 Old Alton Road, Granite City, Illinois, on November 13, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
