Michael Dean Bogovich, 53, of Maryville, Ill., born Aug. 29, 1960, in Granite City, Ill., passed away at 4:28 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth, nee Ellis, Bogovich Jr.

Surviving are his wife, Shari, nee Ripka, Bogovich, whom he married on Aug. 28, 1982; a daughter, Lindsay Bogovich of Seattle, Wash.; a son, Joshua Bogovich of Maryville, Ill.; two brothers, Allan Bogovich of Collinsville, Ill., and Dale (Blenda) Bogovich of Granite City, Ill.; a sister, Laura (Charles) Luehmann, of Granite City, Ill.; two brothers-in-law, Larry Ripka of Meta, Mo., and Terry Ripka of Granite City, Ill.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willard and Virginia Ripka of Granite City, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Jeffrey Young officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, Ill.
