Michael Joseph Cadell, 57, of Granite City, Ill., born on Nov. 13, 1955, in Fairfield, Calif., died at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Cadell had worked at the National Hot Rod Association Drag Strip. He was a member of Harley Owners Group (HOG) of Illinois and he was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Henry Cadell Jr.

Surviving are his mother, Clara A., nee Joergensen, Cadell of Caseyville, Ill.; sisters, Carol (Jerry) Verges of Caseyville, Ill., Virginia Marshall of Caseyville, Ill., Ellen (Rodney) Roberts of Belleville, Ill., Kathleen (Henry) Greer of Spokane, Wash., Patricia Cadell of Caseyville, Ill., and Marybeth (Timothy) Casper of Plato, Mo.; two brothers, David (Carmen) Cadell of Shipmen, Ill., and Chief Master Sgt. Stanley (Rhonda) Cadell of Mascoutah, Ill.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
