Michael Charles Goetter, 68, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on July 27, 2021, at home with his family by his side.

Mike was born on October 23, 1952, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Delmar and Jacqueline (Vandergriff) Goetter.  He worked for Cerro Flow Products in Sauget, Illinois, as a forklift and crane operator for 47 years.

He was a very dedicated and hard worker. Mike would tinker with anything that ran and would try to fix it, and he enjoyed going to stock car races. While he wasn't a cook or baker, he loved to watch cooking shows.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brothers:  Allen and Lonnie Sr.; and sister, Tina Smith.

Survivors include his brothers: Gary Goetter of Trenton, Illinois, and James (Donna) Goetter of Collinsville, Illinois; sister, Cindy (Mike) Neuhaus of Collinsville, Illinois, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, Illinois.  Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Illinois.
