Billie was loved by many, and her sense of humor could always be counted on to brighten anyone's day. Soon after graduating high-school, she began a successful career with Southwestern Bell and continued her work in the industry for 37 years. Billie's dedication to her career was rivaled only by her loyalty to the St. Louis Cardinals. Both avid Cardinal fans, she and husband Bill traveled every spring to the Cardinal's training camp to cheer them on. When not rooting for her team, she spent her time outdoors tending to her flowers. Billie's quick wit and fun personality will be remembered by many.
Visitation will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Illinois on Saturday April 29th from 10-11am, with service proceeding at 11. Billie will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Bill in Cape Girardeau at Memorial Park Cemetery, following a graveside service. Donations may be made in Billie's memory to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, IL.
