Mildred Lillian Piesbergen, nee Pointer, 91, of Maryville, Ill., born March 8, 1920, in Collinsville, Ill., died at 7:02 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011, in Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Piesbergen attended St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville, Ill.; She had worked as the office manager for Collinsville Transfer Co. Mildred was a member of the Eastern Star No., 666, in Collinsville, Ill., and was also a member of Daughter of the Nile, Job's Daughters and the Junior Service League.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Piesbergen, whom she married on Aug. 31, 1942; parents, William and Lillian, nee Juda, Pointer and brother, Bud Pointer.
Surviving are her sons, Jim (Mary) Piesbergen of Collinsville, Ill., and Jack (Jeanne) Piesbergen of Caseyville, Ill.; grandchildren, Julie, Jennifer, Jill and Jacki; and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas, Jack, Claire and Eliza Mae.
