Milton A. Hood, 86, of Troy, Illinois passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Meridian Village.

He was the son of the late Charles J. and Adah P. (Letson) Hood, and was born on July 28, 1935 in Troy, Illinois.

He retired from Mallinckrodt Chemical, and was a loyal member of the Moose Lodge 1221 in Swansea, Illinois.

Milton was predeceased by his wife JoAnn (Robertson) Hood, his parents Charles and Adah Hood, brothers; Benjamin Hood, Charles Hood, Leonard Hood and Alexander Hood; sisters Evelyn Koch and Audrey Klaustermeier.

He is survived by his two daughters; Cynthia Strunk of Colorado Springs, Co and Kathy Glover of Garland Texas, sister, Fern Mateer, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren with one on the way, other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, Illinois.  Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Illinois.
