Miriam E. (Waldt) Zulker, 82, of Glen Carbon, Ill., died at 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon. She was born Thursday, May 23, 1929 in Trenton, N.J., a daughter of the late Charles C. and Emily O. (Beidenbach) Zulker Waldt.



She married Walter Zulker on Oct. 16, 1948. He preceded her in death.

Miriam was a member of First Baptist Church of Edwardsville and was very involved with many activities with her church.



She is survived by three sons, Richard (Debbie) Zulker of Glen Carbon, Robert (Mary Kay) Zulker of Canton, Mich., and Brad (Barbara) Zulker of Jacksonville, Fla.;14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Zulker and Chuck Zulker.



Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Ginny Zulker and Betty Curcio.



Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive in Glen Carbon. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Disney officiating. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
