TROY- Monica A. Richter, 47, of Troy, IL passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 8:03 P.M. at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Monica was born on August 5, 1970 in Belleville, IL to Arthur and Jonella (Moore) Modrovsky. She married Thomas Richter in 1987. He survives and resides in Troy, IL.

Also surviving is her son, Thomas "TJ" Richter (fiancé, Tori Counts) of Troy, IL; father, Arthur Modrovsky; brother, Norman (Sara) Modrovsky of Maryville, IL; and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jonella Modrovsky.

Monica worked years ago at Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Clayton, MO and most recently as a claims adjuster at American Water Resources in Alton, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Maryville, IL. Additional condolences may also be sent to the family through this online guestbook.

VISITATION: A visitation for Monica will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, IL.

SERVICE : A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Glen Carbon, IL. Pastor Tom Hufty will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
