Nancy J. Johnson

Nancy J. Johnson, 65, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sept. 21, 1950, in St. Louis, Mo., went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, in Maryville, Ill.
Nancy was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was very dedicated to her family. She enjoyed reading, going to yard sales, traveling with her family. The Alaskan vacation was very special for her to share with her family. She was a teacher''s assistant with the Collinsville School District, where she worked for 22 years. Along with her husband Dennis, she belonged to the First Baptist Church Maryville, being members since 1992.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaylon and Thelma, nee Pflanz, Woods.
Surviving are her beloved husband 47 years Dennis W. Johnson Sr. of Collinsville, Ill., whom she married July 25, 1969, in Madison, Ill.; children, Dennis W. (Rhonda) Johnson Jr. of Winfield, Mo., Denise (Lonnie) Smith of Maryville, Ill., Dena Simmons of St. Clair, Mo., Derek (Aimee) Johnson of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Katherine (Steven) Hodges, Abigail Johnson, Tyler Allwine, Jacob Clover, Logan Clover, Caroline Johnson, Destiny Clover and Vivian Johnson.; great granddaughter, Natalie Warner.; sisters, Patricia (Keith) Atkinson and Sharron Owca.; also survived by numerous nieces.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at First Baptist Church Maryville.
Funeral: Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at First Baptist Church Maryville, with Pastor Tom Hufty officiating.
