Nanette Marie Walls, 59, of Granite City, IL, passed away the morning of
Thursday, October 7, 2021, surrounded by her children and husband.

Nanette was born on April 11, 1962, to Billy Wayne Ford and Florence Frances
Ford in St. Louis, which immediately brought joy and laughter into the world.

In 1985, she met John Walls, and the two were inseparable from that point on.
Nanette and John were married for over 35 years and had five children, Misty,
Kevin, Angie, Chris, and Kimberly.

Nanette was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all five of
them to go on to accomplish great things. The family came first and was above all
else to Nanette, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her
absence is impossible to fill.

Nanette was predeceased by her mother, Florence Ford, her father, Billy Wayne
Ford, her stepmother Jean Ford, her sister and brother-in-law Linda and Gary Key,
her stepsister, Susan Warner, and her nephew John Chaffin Jr. She is survived by
her husband John Walls, her children, Misty Long (Rod), Kevin Prindable, Angie
Shields (Travis), Christopher Walls (Beckey), and Kimberly Smith. Her
grandchildren, Austin Prindable, Jacob Easler, Carl Wayne Prindable, Michael
Slinkard, Killian Prindable, Molly Lewis, Siana Prindable, Cameron Shields, Connor
Walls, Paislee Smith, and Harlee Smith in addition to her brother Keith Ford
(Linda); her step-sister, Laure (Jeff) Thacker; step-brothers:  Mark (Sandra) Hellmer and Scott Hellmer.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Illinois. On Friday, October 15,
2021, funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will
follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Illinois.
