Nelda Louise Long, 85, of Marine, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025. She was born to William and Anna Leonburger on August 11, 1939 in Campbell, Missouri.

Preceding her in death are both parents, William Richard Leonburger and Anna Elizabeth Thompson Leonburger, as well as her only son David Allen Long.

Those left to cherish Nelda's memory is her beloved husband David E. Long, Grandchildren Eric (Andrea) Long, Stephanie (Andy) Sullivan, Joshua (Jennifer) Long, and Great-Grandchildren: Evan Long, Emery Long, Cora Sullivan, William Sullivan, Brinley Long, and Caroline Long.

Nelda married the love of her life David E. Long on March 5th, 1958, celebrating 66 years of love, life and marriage together.

Nelda loved listening to music, sometimes even singing along, she also loved to travel. Nelda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was the light of her life; she truly loved them, as they were her entire world.

Nelda will be deeply missed by those who had the honor of knowing and loving her.
