Nick Andra, 88, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Oct. 24, 1924, in Washington Park, Ill., died at 7:42 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Caseyville Nursing Center, Caseyville, Ill.

Mr. Andra retired after 45 years of dedicated service from the Local Laborers Local 397 as a hod carrier. He belonged to St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville, Ill., the American Legion in Fairmont City, Ill., and the Caseyville VFW Post 1117. Nick enjoyed spending time with his coffee club buddies at the Han-Dee Mart in Caseyville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, nee Dossett, Andra, whom he married on July 3, 1965; his parents, Aron and Katie, nee Vidolman, Andra; and a brother, Pete Andra.

Surviving are his children, Charles (Babs) Pelan of Bethalto, Ill., Jerry (Irene) Pelan of Sycamore, Ill., and Evelyn Giedeman of Bethalto, Ill.; his brother, Mike (Lacy) Andra of Columbia, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, Tracy, Gregory, Sheri, Lori, Beth, Dana, Lisa, Amy, Cristine, Barb, Ryan and Beth; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2013, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caseyville, Ill., with Father Joe Rascher officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
