Norma Marie Stirnaman, nee Roux, 89, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 2, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at the Liberty Village Nursing Home, Maryville, Ill.

Norma was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, Ill. For 10 years she assisted with the Head Start Program. Her passion was being a homemaker and taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Stirnaman, whom she married on June 29, 1946, and who passed away on February 13, 2013; her son, Thomas Stirnaman; her parents, Paul and Gertrude, nee Schmitz, Roux; and her sister, Arlene Townsend.

Surviving are her children, Barbara (Michael) Hasamear of Collinsville, Ill., Robert "Joe" Strinaman (Sue Grafe) of Collinsville, Ill., Donald (Carol Adams) of Troy, Ill., Mary Walker of Collinsville, Ill., Karen (Kirk) Chapman of Collinsville, Ill., Jane (Kenneth) McAllister of Collinsville, Ill. and Nancy (Greg) Castelli of Freeburg, Ill. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital or SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church Building Fund.

Service: A gathering of friends and family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Ill.
