Norma L. Sams
Norma L. Sams, 68, of Maryville, Ill., born August 21, 1948, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in Belleville, Ill.
Norma was a faithful member of the First United Baptist Church of Collinsville and she was also a member of the Mission Committee. She was owner-operator of the former Country Woods in downtown Collinsville and was a member of the Ketchup Bottle Restoration Committee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy Gene Sams, whom she married May 24, 1969, and passed away March 23, 2006; her father Perry Lloyd Gray.
Norma is survived by her mother Virginia Lee, nee Hankins, Gray of Maryville, Ill.; son, Jason (Alex) Sams of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Bill (Linda) Gray of Mascoutah, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services for Norma will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home with Pastors Gregg Perkins and Greg Pratt officiating. Interment to follow immediately at the Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon Ill.
