Opal Lee Millard's Obituary
Opal Lee Millard, 78, of Granite City, Ill. died at 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Millard was born Friday, May 19, 1933 in Waltrek, Ark., the son of the late Reevie and Dovie (Hall) Millard. He married Jeanette (Langford) Millard on Aug. 8, 1953. She survives.
Mr. Millard worked for McDonnell Douglas for 42 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Jim (Pam) Millard of St. Clair, Mo. and Gaylon (Carol) Millard of Edwardsville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobby Millard.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, IL 62034. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the funeral home with the Rev. Sherman Smith officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
