Ora Dee Mickens Rothwell affectionately known as "Mickey"
Ora was born to Ed and Rebecca Malone Mickens 12/22/1930 in Arkansas.
Ora's lineage has been traced to 1860 with her grandparents Rivers Malone and Julia Byar Malone.
Ora started her life in Arkansas.
She lived in Memphis Tenn, New Mexico, California and Illinois.
In New Mexico, she met and married the late Joseph O. Rothwell
Ora has always had her feet planted in Christ and other Christian Organizations
and Charities. Ora loved her church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church. For 50 years,
she raised funds for her church and charities playing B I N G O which she loved as well collecting cans from all over the city, the residents in the building she lived in.
Ora loved and cared for her family.
She is preceded in death by parents; Ed and Rebecca Malone Mickens, brother; Fred Mickens, sister; Leola Mickens Wesley, brother; Jimmy Dee Mickens, 3 nephews; Micheal Wesley, Antonvich Wesley and Jimmy Mickens Jr.
She leaves to mourn her loss nieces and nephews; Joyce Wesley, Gregory Wesley, California, Sonya McClinton, Leon Burell, Kansas, Cynthia Mickens, Reginald Mickens and Kim Mickens of Riverside Ca.
11 great-nieces and nephews, 8 - 2 times great-nieces and nephews and 2- 3 times great nieces and nephews
The entire Greaves Family as well as the Malone Family and Mickens Family, Mt Zion Baptist Family, her B I N G O crew, MS Lilly Fickinger, Ms. Billie Reynolds, Ms. Carol Smith and all who knew and loved Ora Dee Mickens Rothwell
