Orville Anton Fredricks, 85, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.

Orville was born July 21, 1935, in Carnarvon, Iowa, to Anton and Bena (Flink) Frerichs.

He was a Life Member of the Caseyville VFW Post #1117 and The Collinsville American Legion Post #365.  Orville enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, hunting and especially barbequing.  Spending time with his friends and family were very important to him. Orville served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Theresa Fredricks; sister, Lorraine Ewoldt and two great grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughters:  Pamela Kavaliunas and husband William of Collinsville, Illinois, Donna Wongler and husband John of Caseyville, Illinois, and Cathy Fredricks of Collinsville, Illinois; grandchildren: Christopher Kavaliunas of Maryville, Illinois, John Wongler Jr. of Caseyville, Illinois, Scott Wongler of Caseyville, Illinois, Shawn Kavaliunas of Collinsville, Illinois, Jennifer Wongler of Collinsville, Illinois, and Patrick Wongler of Collinsville, Illinois; 9 great-grandchildren; brother Leroy Frerichs and wife Laurel of St. Paul, Minnesota.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Herr Funeral Home of Collinsville, Illinois.  Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Herr Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Illinois
