Patricia A. Friemann

Patricia A. Friemann, 83, of Alton, IL., born June 9, 1935 in Alton, IL., passed away in the comfort of her home Monday, June 18, 2018.

Patricia retired after thirty years of dedicated service for Smith Kline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, she then worked for Shell Credit Union retiring after nine years.  She was very active belonging to the Order of Eastern Star, Bethalto, IL., Daughters of the Nile, Women of the Moose Lodge, Wood River, IL., American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Collinsville, IL. & the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Troy, IL.  She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Patricia will be fondly remembered for being the center of her family gatherings, she loved spending time with her family.  Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and traveling.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the caring staff of BJC Hospice for the loving care they showed.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Stanley R. Friemann who passed away in 2007; her parents Eugene R. Cross and Nell Rose, nee Smith, Cross; her brother Charles Eugene Cross; her sister Helen Mae Cross.

Surviving are her sister Shirley Jean Thurston of Chatsworth, GA.; her sister-in-law Carole Cross of Alton, IL.; her special niece Trisha (Eric) Clevenger of Piasa, IL.; her beloved nephew James (Amy) Friemann of Royersford, PA.; her loving friend and caregiver Brenda Clevenger of Alton, IL.; her numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces & great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the order of Alzheimer's Research or to Shriner's Hospital for Children and can be received at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL.  Condolences to the family can be expressed through this online guestbook.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon IL.

Funeral:  Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Smith officiating.  Entombment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
