Patricia Jane Hickman, 85, died on December 31st, 2020 of congestive heart failure at Oliver Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Thomas Hickman, who died December 28, 2010 at their home in Collinsville, Illinois.

Patricia enjoyed playing pinochle and board games with her family. She loved an involved jigsaw puzzle, oil painting, reading, knitting, and sitting with nature. Patricia's generosity, boisterous whole-body laughter, impishness, love for her children and grandchildren, and tenacious, independent spirit are the things she will be most remembered for.

Patricia Jane Hickman (Clines) was born on March 21st, 1935 to John Joseph. and Dona Mae Clines (Johnson) in Westville, IL. Patricia left home when she was twenty-one and moved to San Francisco where she met her husband Edward. They fell in love and were wed on May 24, 1958. Patricia and Edward went on to have and raise four children.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John "Jack" J. Clines II. She is survived by her brothers, Robert E. Clines, Alexandria, KY and James M. Clines, Cincinnati, OH, her children Cynthia Ann Hickman (Betsy Miller), Edwardsville, Il, Pamela Jean Hickman (Heather Smith), Portland, OR, Paul Hickman (Linda Hickman), Moro, IL., Gregory Hickman, Portland, OR and grandchildren Michael Hickman, and Jessica Neff (Andy Neff).

Funeral services will be private at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, in Glen Carbon, IL. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Louis HELP, 985 E. Essex, St. Louis, MO 63122-4748
