Paulette Anita Marietta Malvin

Paulette Malvin, 96, of Collinsville, IL., born February 23, 1922, in Collinsville IL.,  passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018, in Maryville IL.

Paulette was a dedicated member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, IL., where she belonged to the adult choir.  She was a kindergarten teacher at Holy Cross Lutheran School, and later formed Kebbel's Kiddy Garden in 1967.  She taught pre school and kindergarten for 26 years. She was President of Soroptimist of Metro East IL., in 1975, charter member of Sweet Adelines in 1967, member of Who's Who of American Women in 1980, member of the LWML and volunteered for the American Red Cross, first during WWII then at Scott Medical Center.  She loved music and singing.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert W. Kebbel who passed away in September of 1963, Herschel B. Malvin who passed away in April 2013; her parents, Peter T. and Katherine, nee Holst, Pruetzel; her brothers, Rohland Pruetzel and Orville Pruetzel.

Surviving are her children, Janice Coy of Collinsville, IL., Dr. Beverly Lenny (Joseph) Tobias of Las Vegas, NV., Nancy (Ray) Leslie of Collinsville, IL.; her grandchildren, Stephan (Jeana) Rowe, Aaron (Wendi) Coy, Olivia(David) Flerra and Alex Rowe. Great Grandchildren:   Autumn Skye Coy, Dylan Joseph, Jackson Alexander, and Isabella Grace Flerra.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, IL., with Pastor Kyle Wright officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
