Pauline Edith Gereaue, nee Cook, 93, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 31, 1918, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, in Collinsville, Ill.



Mrs. Gereaue was a resident of Collinsville for 52 years. She was an active member of the First Nazarene Church, where she was a member for 74 years. She was a YMCA secretary for many years.



Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Gereaue, whom she married on July 31, 1937 in East St. Louis, Ill., and who died on March 28, 1988; mother and step father, Maude, nee Cripe, Cook and Earl Martin; grandson, Michael Ryan Gereaue; and father, Robert Cook.



Surviving are her son and daughter, Michael (Laurie) Gereaue of Tampa, Fla., and Paula (Larry) Garland of Milwaukee, Wis.; grandchildren, Cody Gereaue of Covington, La., Megan Gereaue of Mandeville, La., and Malinda Cott of Kansas City, Mo.; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at the church with the Rev. Kevin Hancock officiating. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
