Peggy L. Corrie, nee Currens, 93, of Maryville, Ill., born Sept. 8, 1922, in Hillsboro, Ill., passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.

Peggy was a caring and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, Ill., and then at Monsanto Chemical Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Corrie; her parents, Robert and Marie, nee Clodfelter, Currens; and her brother, Donald E. Currens.

Surviving are her children, John A. (Ethel) Corrie of Maryville, Ill., Jeffrey L. (Vivian) Corrie of Troy, Ill., and Jerald W. Corrie of Granite City, Ill.; her grandchildren, Michelle (Joe) Pickering, Julie Henze, step grandchildren, Gary Webb, Sheri King and Shelly Stines; her great-grandchildren, Corrie, Cole, David, Sarah and Lauren. She is also survived by 10 additional step great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation, or to the donor's choice. Memorials may be received at Sunset Hill Funeral, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at the funeral home with Marlene Fagala officiating. Private family burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Ill.
