Philip Lee "Phil" Carlton, 62, of Caseyville, Ill., born Dec. 8, 1952, in Pittsfield, Ill., died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at his home.
Phil was a retired superintendent of the Caseyville Street Department and a retired member of the Caseyville Fire Department. He was a former village trustee, was in the Marshal Program and a member of the St. Clair County Democratic Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer "Speck" and Jessie Lee, nee Shelton, Carlton; and a niece, Stacy Carlton.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann, nee Curd, Carlton, whom he married on Aug. 18, 1979, in Caseyville, Ill.; daughter, Kristie (John) Baudino of Highland, Ill.; son, Jesse (Regina) Carlton of Smithton, Ill.; four grandchildren, Gage Baudino, and Emma Baudino both of Highland, Ill., and Bryce Schottel and Camden Carlton of Smithton, Ill.; brother, Dennis (Cyndee) Carlton of Swansea, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Barbara (George) Miller and Terry Vaughn, both of Collinsville, Ill.; nephews and nieces, Bobby (Lindsey) Vaughn of Troy, Ill., Matt Koesterer of Swansea, Ill., Kelly (Jarrodd) Dachsteiner of New Athens, Ill., Debbie (Jeff) Sullivan of St. Louis, Mo., and Rick Hernandez of Maryville, Ill.; and many close friends.
Memorials contributions may be made to the charity close to Phil's heart, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society .
Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at the Herr Funeral Home in Caseyville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at the funeral home with Nancy Baudino officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
