Phyllis B. Karrer, nee Hott, 75, of Collinsville, Ill., born Dec. 10, 1937, in Vandalia, Ill., died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Liberty Village Nursing Home, Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Karrer retired after 33 years from the State Bank in Collinsville where she was a teller and customer service representative. She later joined Barnes-Jewish School of Nursing where she was a registrar assistant. She was a past president of the Collinsville B&PW, past president of the MLPEO sisterhood and former queen of the Al Sihah Daughter of the Nile Chapter 29. Phyllis was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. She loved knitting and traveling and also loved fishing along with her husband, Bob, who considered her the catch of his life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Arlene, nee Blankenship, Hott; and a brother-in-law, Virgil Kassing.
Surviving are her husband, Robert W. Karrer, whom she married on May 4, 1957; brother, Marion (Deanna) Hott of Collinsville, Ill.; and sister, Frances Kassing of Caseyville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at St. John United Church of Christ, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
