Phyllis J. Seka, nee Lynn, 85, of Granite City, Ill., born Nov. 21, 1930, in Granite City, Ill., passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the Liberty Village Nursing Home in Maryville, Ill.
Phyllis retired after 25 years from General American later MetLife and had positions with the claims department and fraud investigations. She was a member and past president of the Eagles Auxiliary 1126 in Granite City, Ill., and a member of the auxiliary's kitchen band.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Seka Sr., whom she married on Sept. 30, 1950, in Granite City, Ill.; her parents, Harold and Woodie, nee Lowry, Lynn; a daughter, Susan Hobbs; and a sister, Shirley McGovern.
Surviving are her children, Janet VanDusen of Madison, Ill., Lynn Hale of Richardson, Texas and William G. Seka Jr. of Granite City, Ill.; two sisters, Jackie Rainwater of Granite City, Ill., and Linda Gillian of Hawaii; a son-in-law, Brian Hobbs of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation: Friends and family may visit from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, Ill.
Funeral: A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016, at the funeral home. Internment will follow at a later time.
