Phyllis Jean Blurton, nee Shelton, 74, of Edwardsville, Ill., born Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1941, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, at St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. Blurton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Edwardsville Ward.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Helen, nee Turner, Shelton; a son, Richard Heuser; a daughter, Helen Pope-Duncan; and her brother, James Shelton.
Surviving are her husband, Harry Blurton of Edwardsville, Ill., whom she married on April 26, 1982; her children, Randall (Sandy) Heuser of Granite City, Ill., Renee (LeRoy) Heuser-Daiber of Alhambra, Ill., Michelle Wallis of Winston-Salem, N.C., Alan (Cindy Berkley) Pope of Highland, Ill., Robin Pope Merryman of Carlyle, Ill., Kimberly (Stephen) Branding of Edwardsville, Ill., and John Blurton of New Douglas, Ill.: her sister, Laureen (Col. Kevin) Hughes of O'Fallon, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
